Taylor Swift and Lainey Wilson Duet ‘Love Story’ at NFL Party
Swift made a surprise appearance at Kelce’s annual Tight End University summit
Taylor Swift dropped by fiancé Travis Kelce‘s Tight End University event at the Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee, on Tuesday night.
The 14-time Grammy winner took the stage in support of the Tight Ends and Friends Concert, which was presented by Sports Illustrated and Reese’s, helping kick off the three-day training camp founded in 2021 by NFL tight ends Kelce, George Kittle, and Greg Olsen. The event was started as an opportunity for tight ends across the league to train, network, and share techniques.
Swift was joined by country star Lainey Wilson and the duo closed out the night with her hit song “Love Story” as the crowd erupted in cheers and sang along. During their set, Swift said the song request came from a “very special tight end” and that “tight end … is named George Kittle.”
The evening also included surprise performances from Dan and Shay and Chase Rice. Notably, Rice appeared to write “13” on his hand and declared himself a “Swiftie” during his earlier set.
This is the second time Swift cruised by the annual summit. Last year, Swift kicked things off with a surprise acoustic performance of her 2014 song “Shake It Off” during the opening night’s afterparty at Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl. Swift revealed the performance wasn’t at all planned, telling the audience, “We just figured out that we are gonna play that three minutes ago.”
Earlier on Tuesday, Kittle showed his appreciation to Swift for appearing at Tight End University this year. “She’s just such an awesome person to give us her time this close to their wedding,” he told People. “So we’re just so thankful that they’re here.”
